Carpet yarn heat set machine has been developed and designed within the scope of the Project of TÜBİTAK and TTGV R&D support. The machine was awarded for 6'Th National "Technology Achievement Award" in 2005. Now, it has been served to carpet yarn producers. The heat set machine can run with 6 channels and 4, 6, 8, 10 ends per channel or up to 24, 36, 48, 60 ends per machine. Carpet yarn heat-set machine is used for the continuous heat setting of synthetic yarns like Polypropylene, Polyester, Polyamide, also Spun yarns like Acrylic, Wool, Cotton and blended yarns. This process takes place in the climate chamber under atmospheric pressure over heated steam.

CREEL UNIT

Creel is used for accumulation of the twisted yarn bobbins to be heat-set conditioning. There will be the double size of bobbin holder as the number of ends during the ordering the machine; half of them are active bobbin adaptors and the others are reserve bobbin adaptors.With the help of reserve adaptors, the creel provides continuity of yarn flow to the rewinder. The creel is equipped for bobbins with a max. weight of 8 kg with mechanical yarn tensioner (OZ brand) per end. Ceramic eyes and guides are utilized on yarn passages. The yarns while traveling from creel to the rewinding unit are passing through revolving guides as well as ceramic eyelets. REWINDER UNIT

The yarn from the creel is fed to the yarn winding system. The yarn is then wound around the endless transport ropes. The machinehas 6 winding system with 6 motor. Each system is controlled completely independent from each other. Winding system works in harmonically with other units. Special designed Rewinder unit has 6 independent winder heads and 6 motors. The operating speed is infinitely variable between 200 m/min and 600 m/min, depending on the yarn specification.

 

 

Each Transport rope is driven by independent motor with inverter speed control.

• The operating speed is infinitely variable between 1 and 10 m/min.
• Easy speed setting by touch panel.

HEAT-SET CHAMBER UNIT

Heat setting chamber carries out the continuous heat setting process of the yarn. It has been designed for heat-setting for producing high quality yarns. The yarns which are wounded in loops on transport belt are fed through a heat setting chamber operated with over heated steam under atmospheric pressure. The climate chamber is flexible to operate at various temperature and steam levels. The temperature of the heat setting chamber is very accurately monitored by temperature sensors. All operating units of machine is controlled and monitored on PLC touch-screen. Heat set chamber temperature can be adjusted to any value between 110 and 200 °C. It has 6 channel, 2500 mm long and two exhaust zones. MD Heat-set lines are developed and designed specially for energy saving. The inlet/outlets of the transport ropes and also the channels are designed to keep more steam in the heat-set chamber as in swirl flow to reduce the loss of steam beyond normal bounds a patented device is designed and installed in the center of the square formed by transport belts.

 

YARN RELAXATION

After suitable heat setting of the yarns in the climate chamber, the yarns are accumulated on the mast to cool the room temperature prior to winding. Accumulation of the yarns on the masts is controlled by photocells to provide continuous flow for take-up winder.
